Pratt & Whitney expanding Columbus plant, adding jobs

The Atlanta Business Chronicle reports that Pratt & Whitney, a manufacturer of aircraft parts and part of United Technologies, has secured a $250,000 grant from OneGeorgia Authority for a $19.3 million expansion and upgrade to Pratt & Whitney’s plant in Columbus.

Originally opened in 1983, the plant currently employs about 450 people.  The expansion is expected to add an additional 177 jobs to the plant.  Atlanta Business Chronicle
