Enid Airport receives major boost

The Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission recently approved up to $2.5 million in funding for the extension of Enid’s Woodring Airport runway and parallel taxiway.  The improvements will extend the runway to 8,000 feet, accommodating larger aircraft and serving as an alternate runway for Vance Air Force Base.  This is the largest investment the agency provided for any airport project.  The total project cost is estimated at $5.8 million.  The project is part of a three-year capital improvement program.  NewsOK
