Boeing in Oklahoma gets $55M to upgrade B-1 aircraft, will hire 20
Boeing will begin upgrading the navigation system in the B-1 Lancer aircraft after receiving a $55.3 million contract from the U.S. Air Force.
Due to the contract, Boeing plans to hire 15 to 20 new employees at its plant near Tinker Air Force Base.
The B-1 aircraft program in the Air Force is relocating a chunk of workforce to Oklahoma City from California. The transfer includes about 100 relocations and 200 new hires in Oklahoma City.
