United direct flight to Tokyo expected to generate $130 million in revenue.

In a move that is expected to generate $130 million in revenue and create new jobs in Colorado, United Airlines announced that they will begin direct flights to Tokyo starting in March of 2013. The Denver-Asia connection is a long awaited and much anticipated event for Colorado businesses.

Denver officials and DIA management originally courted Japanese airlines to make the link, so the announcement came as a welcomed surprise on Tuesday.  United is Denver’s  largest hubbed airlines.
