Airbus wants to grow its production side in Wichita
Airbus‘ largest engineering office outside of Europe has been in Wichita for a decade. Now Airbus wants to break into the manufacturing side in Wichita.
In August Airbus held a Wichita Air Capital Supplier Summit at the National Center for Aviation Training, which was attended by 114 companies represented by more than 200 people. A second Supplier Summit is already planned.
Aircraft manufacturer Airbus wants to grow its presence in Wichita, an aerospace manufacturing hub, partially because of the quality performance it can find from Kansas suppliers such as Spirit AeroSystems, Inc.
