*Cessna* takes off on hiring spree
Cessna Aircraft Co. in Wichita plans to expand its global sales workforce by nearly 50 percent adding 38 jobs in U.S., according to a news release.
The hiring move is part of an effort to focus on decentralized satellite offices in global markets where there is an established presence or opportunity for growth.
The company’s website lists 75 positions of which 38 are for sales personnel in the U.S.
CEO Scoot Ernest said with Cessna’s largest installed base of aircraft of any general aviation manufacturer, it is imperative that both current customers and those new to aviation have ready access to our team of experts before, during and after the acquisition of their aircraft.
Cessna is a leading general aviation company designing, producing and delivering nearly 200,000 airplanes around the world including Citation business jets.
