*American Eagle Airlines* partners with Jacksonville U to train pilots

Jacksonville University and regional carrier American Eagle Airlines have partnered in the new Pilot Pipeline Program to help aviation students gain experience and flight hours to become commercial airline pilots.

Select graduates of the program will become American Eagle employees serving as flight instructors in the JU program while receiving all the privileges and benefits of full-time employees.

Following completion of the required hours of operating a commercial aircraft for American Eagle, they are guaranteed an interview for a first officer position with American Airlines.

The program will meet the airlines’ need for pilots and the students’ need for employment.

American Eagle serves American Airlines with a fleet of more than 240 jets, operating more than 1,300 daily flights to 170 U.S. cities, as well as Canada and the Bahamas.
