Altus Aloft! 400 new jobs landing at Altus Flight Academy
Thanks to a new partnership with Sikorsky Aircraft, the Altus Flight Academy will add 400 new positions in Altus. The company was aided in developing the new jobs by the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program, according to a press release from the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
The Altus Flight Academy is a subsidiary of Aviation Training Consulting, an aviation and training system design company. ATC offers a full range of aviation support and services to include flight instructors, airfield and aerial port operations, aircraft and vehicle maintenance, and international continuing education nursing training. The Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program allows qualifying establishments creating new quality jobs to receive an incentive to locate or expand in the state. Administered by Oklahoma Department of Commerce, the program provides quarterly cash payments of up to 5 percent of new taxable payroll directly to a qualifying company for up to 10 years.
