Belcan can expand, add 100 jobs in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky.– Belcan Corp. plans to expand its footprint and add 100 jobs to its facility in the Lexington Vine Center downtown.

Belcan, an engineering services and technical staffing provider, will invest $1.2 million into the expansion.

“The Belcan story is a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of Kentucky,” said Gov. Steve Beshear. “When faced with business challenges, company officials opted to reach outside their current portfolio to grow. I commend their hard work and determination and congratulate them on this achievement.”

The company is planning to lease an additional 15,000 square feet in the Vine Center to accommodate the increased number of engineers needed to support its new customer, Pratt & Whitney, a commercial and military aerospace gas turbine engine supplier. Belcan opened its Lexington office in 2005 to service a growing aerospace contract with Sikorsky Aircraft Corp.

Belcan is headquartered in Cincinnati and has more than 6,000 employees in 49 locations serving more than 600 active clients globally.
