Drone Racing League lights up Miami, gears up for 2016 season (FL)

MIAMI, Fla. — The Drone Racing League is taking off in Florida with an experience that is like a video game with a touch of NASCAR.

The races place pilots in direct competition in an experience that is like first-person shooter games, but instead of weapons, the pilots are directing drones.

The first competition took place recently in Miami at Sun Life Stadium. There will be six races around the world this season, with the next one scheduled to take place in Los Angeles. Times and dates for the second event have not yet been announced.
